Elks sign Boyko to two-year contract extension

Canadian offensive lineman Brett Boyko was signed by The Edmonton Elks Wednesday on a two-year extension contract.

Boyko had been due to become a free agent in June.

The massive 6’7”, 305-pound Boyko started in all but one of the team’s games last year at right tackle when he was with Edmonton. He played for the XFL’s Orlando Guardians before becoming a member of Elks.

2015 B.C Lions selected Boyko in the second round of the drafts.

American defensive back Donnie Lewis Jr., who contributed last year himself to the preliminary squad of Tiger-Cats from Hamilton, dedicated this season to Edmonton.
