Can the Lions secondary play in Super bowl?

Because, what, what, what in my mind, what has really occurred here is the fact that the expectation has somehow been transformed.

We are hearing that now for the first time in the history of the Lions the Lions are going to be a Super Bowl caliber football team which means that all your position units have to be Super Bowl caliber players all across the board.

At times, I saw some real questions about that secondary.

But most of all, I just wonder do the Lions have what it takes to be able to challenge the NFC ’s elite and AFC’s elite?

Currently constructed there, that’s the, the ‘Super Bowl or bust’ for this team because this team is in that ‘window’.

Agreed.

Of their squad, there is one that I do like and that is their secondary.

I think that they them they went out again and had a lot of self-consciousness.

Hello, the secondary is far from Super Bowl contenders so the management went out to try and improve it.

It simply doesn’t get much better than Terry and Arnold falling into their laps in the first round of the NFL draft; talent/need cannot get any better than that.

Rake Straw is then doubled up with Rake Smith then with that we also had Rake Wheatley who I believe is a good young talent.

They went out and traded for Carlton Davis who is like ‘eh’ but I still believe that he still he has something left in him although he was not the same player he used to be some couple of years ago.

I think Brian brand as a star in that, in that secondary and he showed that as a rookie last year.

So I believe that they looked at what had to be done and they just said to themselves, talent is insufficient.

He wants to add to it and they added some dudes and I, I think if Arnold plays well as a rookie right away and I think he will, I think his Lions secondary is good enough.

Ermm, I, I just think, it is getting quite difficult to actually find a loophole in the Detroit lions’ team.

The Saints are actually a really, really good football team and yeah they are pretty motivated after choking in the NFC championship last year.

And to your question of is the secondary good enough to win a Super Bowl.

Yes, it may, uh, uh, you know, it is not the best secretary in the NFL, but it does not need to be that and that is not going to be the strength.

You trust youth, you trust youth more than I do because we both see that Arnold and R I, I, and look, if we are talking about hey, putting on my draft Toas hat then let’s.

I was pleased with both of those picks at the time and I am still pleased with them even to this day and gates.

They will be tested a lot in their own division.

Me, me, I would like it to turn out that way please.

Well, it’s just when you are in your super bowl window and have that much youth in your secondary boy, your pinning so much on them.

Yeah, you're right.

And especially they will be tested in that division.

You are right on that, well, not entirely.

Yes, but I, I believe that ‘everything is going to turn out for them. ’

That I must say they have a strong defensive side particularly the defensive line.

Ian Hutchinson, it might probably get the tag of defensive player of the year at some or the other juncture of his career.

Holding on to the ball a little more for the secondary and I, I just, I have a little more faith, especially in the young guys than you do.

Yes, that I shall see, I suppose we will since that is what the question is all about.

If, if their secondary is good enough, what ‘s the weakness?
